Installed the Hd but...

I added the bracket that connects to the internal harddrive. Put them in the mpc booted it up, and it shows that there is a hard drive but it doesnt show how much space which should be 80gigs. I tried finding one of the hd that was recommended but i couldnt find any at any of the stores near me. I made sure it was 2.5 though...Is there something I need to do inorder for the gigs to show up?

I connected the mpc to the computer via usb, I can access my cf but not the hard drive? Dont know what to do. I tried taking the cf out but that didnt work. Its as if the mpc reconginzes it but doesnt agree with it, dont know never did this before so i dont know what to look for. I tried finding a toshiba or any of those others that were recommended but they only sell huge gigs right now no 80s. I guess i will have to find it over the internet. If this doesnt work.

Did you format your HD? And when you go to access the the HD through your computer (via USB) you have to switch the "Access to:" form compact flash to Hard Disk by highlighting the area next to the Access to area (might say Compact Flash) and chage it to Hard Disk by using the data wheel and scrolling over to the Hard Disk option. (I'm making it sound harder than it actually is, I just want to be precise so you can achieve the usage of your HD).

The HD is showin' up and all the memory is bein' read on your MP? You are formatting it on the MPC right?
