Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Just thought this might be of interest.
A guy I know is selling his MPC2000 classic that he was hardly using (and didn't know how to use) and wanted to upgrade the ram to 32MB to get better sale. He couldn't do it so he asked me to. Thought I'd take some pictures of the inside as I was doing it and post them for anyone who was interested. I'd like to buy it myself as its a lovely machine with everything working, but I'm a Guru and MPD24 user now. I have sort of fallen in love with it but couldn't justify keeping it unfortunately. I was desperate to hear a difference in the sound with the MPC and the sound I get from my computer, but alas couldn't. It's a real shame as it looks great in the studio :cry:

you really gotta go thru the top on the classic 2000? i did my 2000xl last night and just had to remove the bottom panel. good to have pics up none the less so big ups on that.

Yes.You have to do that to put anything in the classic.It's all through the top.
