i rarely need help, but....

i just got a cd burner (finally) and I have no idea how to hook it up. its a dual burner (it has two doors. one is cd player, other is both). And before somebody jumps on me and tells me to read the manual, there's no manual with it.

some things u might need to know i have are: tascam 488, mixer, cd burner...

those are the couple things i think might have something to do with it.

the inputs/outputs on the burner are exactly like this:

[CD]
Analog out L/R
Digital out

[CDR]
Analog in L/R
Digital in/out

[CDR/CD]
Analog out L/R

the analog plugs are the ones im using because they are RCA plugs. if someone can help me based on this info, i would really appreciate it. i connected the [CD] out directly to my tascam to a seperate track using an RCA to 1/4" plug and that works fine. Now I need a way to send the sound into the [CDR] in so I can burn the tracks onto cd. Pleeeeeeeaasseeee help!!!!

Mute the input track on your mixer and hook up the main outs, monitor outs, headphone out, or some effect sends to the burner.

yea i think thats the best way. i've been trying but nothing is working. it may be connected right, but the burner is not letting me record. i hope its not my burner

the cd player works fine, but when i press record it keeps saying NO AUDIO. thats with a blank cd in it. and with no manual, im stuck. there's not that many buttons lol, and half the shit i got came with no manual so i know i aint stupid. i guess ill keep trying. thanks yall.

well believe me, i got some shit 4 ya. i think the burner itself is a piece of shit. im gonna get the engineer from my homeboy place to take a look at my setup. lol@zoo animals. yea u rite. on my way there i was standin at a corner to cross the street and somebody was playin a song by dido real loud. it was at the end of the song and i heard the name of it. its called White Flag. im thinkin about samplin her vocals. i got BIG plans for that. i gotta to thank my youngin for wantin to goto the zoo 2day. inspiration is rite

yo smoove, what type of cd burner is this i can try and help if it's a phillips, i got a phillips cdr775, what exzacly you trying to do, record on to the burner right,
