You need a sound card in your computer and a mixer in order to capture your audio. Page 4 of the manual has a nice diagram that shows you it's done. Stereo out (or individual mono outputs) from the MPC1000 go into the mixer and from there you go into the computer. If you don't have a mixer then you could go straight into your soundcard since the MPC1000 is already amplified. Does this make sense?
Also, my MPC1000 came with two manuals, a thick one and a short one. I believe the short one goes straight to the point and shows you how to do it quickly.
