Any beatmakers in here start out as emcees?
if so then you prob'ly heard that old school isht about how cats aint s'posed ta teach other heads how ta emcee, at least not just any random mu'fukka...
I remember showin' one kid some shit, he had a good voice and enuff arrogance ta humble Cannabis... but it was meaningful, like showing your son how ta piss standin up... not just some impersonal computer screen nonsense teachin strangers how ta twist dials in germany...
I aint hatin... I really aint on some not you shit... but the locality is lost when the whole world wants ta sound like the U.S., and really I believe that's the reason emcees aint supposed ta teach others, it's that solo learning proces which gives you a style and motion that ca' stand on it's own... I wanna fight like Bruce, I don't wanna rhyme like Biggie, feel me?
this site should be all about fightin over 4ks versus 1200s, not sharin filter recipes, seriously, Me? I get pissed if someones watchin me too hard when I'm on deck...Half my work is done on headphones, I kinda appreciate secrecy...

yeah but some kids are from areas where there is no one to teach them like "a son". Im really the only cat with an MPC for at least 50 miles. I learn from here, but am doing my own thing. but there are some things on the MPC that i probally would have never learned or took 5 yrs to learn something simple that I overlooked.

you could have some professional producer give you all the Tips and knowledge in the world but that doesnt mean you could make a dope sounding beat.

This site would suck if it were dedicated to 3k vs 1k or yada yada. WHo gives a fuc that's just opinion. It would be pretty sad if those were the posts everytime you went to look @ the boards. Plus it ain't like cats are saying I pulled this bassline or kik from track 6 on this album. They just pointing other heads in the right direction food for thought. Plus the name of the site is MPC-TUTOR which implies teachin

It a Paradigm! Just a way of viewing things every mofo listens to another emcee first in amazement, next in eagerness to learn until they figure out how to do it, then in arrogance once they believe that they have surpass their idol. It`s a fact of life the student one day will become the teacher. But the great ones know that learning is a lifelong process to become better and better so they stay humble. If you start slipping thinking that you have nothing else to learn that hungry, eager mofo will catch ya and you will be yesterday`s classic producer, old school mc , or a gym coach. The golden rule of success is the more you give the more you receive. Maybe not right then and there, but when you need it. That`s the reason the successful make lots of donations because it`s a cycle to receive also. Remember too your son will grow up and eventually be taking care of you.

dont get to pissed off because it took you a while to learn something on the mpc and you found a better way here.

yes you can creat your own style learning s h i t the hard way but why bother when you can learn from others here and still have your own style in the process

no matter what, you are going to do it your way(your style) wheather you learnd from others or by urself, plain a simple.

its ok to keep secrets. just remember, some one may already know your secrets. and if thats true then keep the way you work a secret.

same here. everyone talks about makin beats around here but im the onlyone that followed thru. so i had to teach myself with a little help from this forum. actually, probably a big help from this forum cuz i didnt understand the manual too good being that it sucks for people that dont know anything about producing.

in kindergarden the first thing you learn is share and share alike. stay in a vaccum and watch your beats go no where. i am not one of the most loved persons on this board but there is a lot to learn here. not just technic, but train(s) of thought (which is also important). the key to anyone success making beats/music are thier feel, style, sound and how much work they put into thier productions. ALLWAYS REMEMBER THIS "THE BEST IS YET TO BE BORN".
