copyright ?

Hello... I was just wondering, ive been making beats with mp3 samples lately because i dont have cash for a turn table yet!! but I made a beat taking a piano sample put a effect on it, changed the pitch, looped it the way i wanted it.. but it still sounds like the real song.. so i was wondering, could i get accused of stealing copyrights or whatever if the song is ever sold..

ok... and what about all the beats that has a sampled loop??? they all bought the right to take it ??

not always. depends on how known you are. big name producers clear all their samples most of the time but us no-names don't really have to because the chance that the artist you sampled hears your song is slim.

if you ever sold an artist the beat, it's up to their label to clear the sample with the copyright holder - it's not your responsibility (unless you are the artist releasing the album of course)

the only thing that you need to be responsible for otherwise is remembering what you sampled so that the artist/label know what to clear

And you should make your avatar smaller...it causes everyone mad lags when scrolling the page.
