Moving from 2000 to 1000 tomorrow. Any advice?

Just thought I'd drop my first post on this forum, let ya know I'm currently working with the 2k switching to the 1k. Anybody else make this move? Any advice/suggestions feat. humorous anecdotes?

treat the pads with great care, never hit them too hard, they are fragile.
