if so then you prob'ly heard that old school isht about how cats aint s'posed ta teach other heads how ta emcee, at least not just any random mu'fukka...
I remember showin' one kid some ****, he had a good voice and enuff arrogance ta humble Cannabis... but it was meaningful, like showing your son how ta piss standin up... not just some impersonal computer screen nonsense teachin strangers how ta twist dials in germany...
I aint hatin... I really aint on some not you ****... but the locality is lost when the whole world wants ta sound like the U.S., and really I believe that's the reason emcees aint supposed ta teach others, it's that solo learning proces which gives you a style and motion that ca' stand on it's own... I wanna fight like Bruce, I don't wanna rhyme like Biggie, feel me?
this site should be all about fightin over 4ks versus 1200s, not sharin filter recipes, seriously, Me? I get pissed if someones watchin me too hard when I'm on deck...Half my work is done on headphones, I kinda appreciate secrecy...

Yo, i'm not one to diss.... But this has got to be the stupidest s*** i've ever heard. You think producers and m.c.'s learned overnight? Someone passed knowledge to them and schooled them to the basics. Once thats down, then a style is created. It takes a foundation to build. Also everytime you hear one of your favorite m.c.s or producers, your learning something, if not then they're not improving.

im gonna speak my mind too, what dude posted was pretty ignorant..first off this whole forum is like a how-to guide, the basics..every person takes the basics of compressing/eq'ing/adding efx, whatever, and flips it to there own personal style and taste...you cant flip it if you have no idea wtf your doing. true 80% of everything i know came from experimenting, and everyone and there mother are "producers" nowdays, but some shit i read on here and im like damn, i had no idea you could do this etc....compression, what the **** is that?? ok..i read a post telling me to try some settings to get my drums sounding fat..oh shit, they sound dope, now i can flip it and be creative now that i know the basics and add my own twists...thats what its all about, and thats how you develop your own style. this whole forum is like a manual that otherwise youd have to pay $19.99 but its free, its 24/7 customer service..no one on here is telling you how to do your beats or posting blueprints on how to sound like kanye west, there giving the basics on any given topic, for you to expand yourself, and theres no reason to be childish about it

i think its cool to teach peeps tip and techniques, either in porduction, or mcing, or life. one can take that teaching and develop his own style from what he has learned.its all about geting in where you fit. just as long as the person being taught develops their own individual self.......
peace and love

You know, I love it, I been away for a minute, sorry, I'm BACK.
well what an amazing OVERREACTION, so sorry to have disrupted your way of life with my opinion. (sarcasm)
I had no IDEA my text was so powerful...
did not know, that my very will could threaten this which you love so very much. (sarcasm)
but, NO, by all means Please continue to teach and WE ALL will continue to learn. (sincerity)
I saw the tremendous response generated when I said the forum was what it is. Of course a fool would defend the foolish...
not that you're fools, a pizza man would defend pizza...
Anyway, ALL I really said was this, Teach someone you care about, not just some stranger.
Am I wrong?
then DISAGREE WITHOUT DISSING ME !!!
what are yu stupid?
I don't think you are, so why yu gotta call me a dyck?
I been schooled, and I schooled, but ALWAYS with someone I knew and respected. It makes a tremendous difference.
Now for cats that live out in B.F.E. Sorry Your options are low...
but you still can find a like-minded-soul...
Or maybe this forum is for you
I first made a beat on a 4 track tape deck with no idea that other people were doin that, I thought I invented pause tapes,(Ahhh, the mighty ignorance of youth)but the experience I gained doin that is invaluable, and me and my man had mad fun making those crunchy old beats.
Then He got a 1200 by mistake( funny story) it was back to the drawing board, we actually used the SP for drums and the (fostex?)tape rig for other samples, it was pretty satisfying to hook up a beat and get it right.
main thing is, yeah sometimes there is NOONE to learn from, well improvise, and If MPC- TUTORS is the best option, then let's all be glad it's here.
I wonder what's next?
WRITER-TUTOR
VIRTUA-B-BOY ACADEMY
it aint just HIP HOP, I feel that a lot of things on-line never should have been digitized, but I guess that's what they call progress.
BTW I acknowledge that not every one in this thread responded like a donkey barking in the mirror, peace to the peaceful...
Science are those real mics? Damn,... How they sound?
anyway Lemme run before they lynch me on the short bus...
