do you got the extra ram installed?

HD is for storage, RAM is where you load your samples. once you get the 128MB RAM expansion, you can load 118.4MB worth of samples at one time. not that thats a limitation or anything.

if your using stereo samples they take up more room. go to trim and convert stereo samples to mono. you'll save alot more space.

Your PC doesn't load all 250G on your harddrive into RAM either, does it?

You never get the full amount of memory that is stated to be available/present. That's just the way it is when it comes to memory be it RAM or HD's (compact flash, jump drives, etc.) 128 is plenty anyway. I'm not even sure you can utilize that may samples @ 1 time? Isn't the 1k on 32 polyphony? Not enough to fully use all that many samples @ once. Shoot, my homie got a 2k XL and that only has 32 MB's, even that was more than enough for us.
You'll learn to cope and still make bangers.

you gotta figure out if you're talking about ram or hard drive space, which one is it?
