I searched for this but found no answers on the forum so here it is:

To my knowledge after using my 1000 for a yr now, Ive never been able to make 2 prgms samples cut each other off as if they were monophonic on the same prgm or magically assigned to a mute group that works with multiple prgms!?....

So this is what occurred:
Im programming a beat and everything is straight till I want to layer another sample from a entirely different prgm over the original sample that was played with some drums.
I go to play the new phrase to be layered and suddenly the sample gets stopped at a bar each time mysteriously and I can figure out why??

They are on 2 different prgms and have 2 entirely different names.
Is this a bug anyone else has encountered with OS 2.10?

Does it cut the sample short or make a weird sound?

its deffinately a bug. i ran test to see if its true that the mpc can really do 32voices at once and it cant.. false advertisement :).. best advice is to cut samples small and resample them layers u make..also if ur using the edit move option in the step sequencer that will corrupt ur track and make parts disapear to the ear but visually still intact in the sequencer.. this is still a bug in the os and akai cant confirm it..yet they confirmed all the other bugs i reported but this one. prolly cause it takes a good hour with an mpc on before this bug kicks in.. this bug is hard to replicate but it happens with the edit move usage..to avoid it dont use edit move and use only copy and paste and delete.

No weird sound or nothing, but it does cut the sample short after playing about a bars worth... Its kind of like another sample is cutting it off like if the prgm was monophonic or if it was assigned to a mute group - but neither of these things are occurring so im lost as to why its doing it!?

also if ur using the edit move option in the step sequencer that will corrupt ur track and make parts disapear to the ear but visually still intact in the sequencer..

I never sequence that way so it cant be that.

I dont know? Must be a bug.

Well the 32 voice thing isnt even the problem cuz I absolutely didnt have 32 voices sounding all at the same time.
Heres the kicker: I turned off the mpc, went to bed, woke up the next morning, turned the mpc back and loaded the beat, pushed play and wahlah! - the shit works again!?.....
Its a confirmed Akai OS bug!....**** Akai.
