Best online options for new releases (vinyl)( electronica)

Hey everyone..

Quick question. My spot closed shop due to legal issues. So I am looking for an online seller, thats reputable and has the newest stuff. I'm waiting on getting pioneer 800s, so in the mean time I still need vinyl.

Although I used to spin mainly hip hop, I'm switching gears towards the dance music scene (techno, progressive techno, trance, driving trance, intelligent) for a minute.

So whats good out there for electronica records?

I've found one or two sites, but they seem to all be located in the UK or Europe, any US locations?

I've looked at Dancerecords.com, any others?

Cool deal, paid around 7 bucks on shipping for ups 2 day (deal they had for how much I bought, around 150 in vinyl).

turntablelab is pretty on it, but their hip hop really sucks, they do absolutely no west coast rap... they do stones throw and whatever else

electronic i dont know turntablelab might be on it well, but im not sure, dont listen to much electronic stuff...

hey. i usually go to record labels sites for new records. also some friends (of friends) recently opened a really good record store in chicago that online now called waxaddict.com and they have good selections and samples of everything and they ship fast and prices are good. im a dj and i shop there often.

check it out this guys a friend of mine i get most of my house and techno from him these days, his name is sean tellin him dj e.d.e told you about him , he sells on ebay but he sends out a list every few weeks with some old and new stuff, great guy, has alot of hook up woth the vinyl

Got my order from dancerecords.com the other day, great stuff, I recommend it to everyone. Kinda expensive but they have sales (1.75 for albums and up). 12 inches are usually 9.99 and up.

Got here in two days from Oakland (rhode Island here) for the price of UPS ground. Vinyl came in perfect condition. Couldn't be happier. they have up to the minute tracking with orders as well.

e.d.e I will check out your friends stuff soon, i just needed to make a quick purchase of some new dance stuff, cuz im djing next sunday, and it worked out great. I am saving up for two pioneer 800 mk2s to add to my set up.

My goal is to have 3 technic 1210s and 3 pioneer 800s (or maybe 2 technics, 2 pioneers and 2 of those numark hdk joints) I want a 6 sources. So I have to chill with the new vinyl purchases for a minute (150 for 15 joints kinda killed me).

to be honest, this gig isnt really about the money, more so the contacts ill make that night. Theres 4 other djs that night and its always good to mix with the competition. More importantly theres going to be this dude there whose starting this exclusive dj/ member shit that will involve djing at some major clubs in ny, boston, miami (millionaire, investor dude) and I'm just trying to make my mark, so I had to have some of the hot new shit everyone is loving. 400 people seems like a great crowd to make or break it for.

Funniest part is I've been out of the game for a few years, and this is going to be my jump back in, I've been sick and shit with crazy headaches, and well its my long awaited return...

Odd part is, I'm more so a hip hop dj/ turntablist by trade that used to throw in the electronica on certain nights for the right crowds...

What I'll be playing, depends on the crowd, but I got a shit load of electro house/techno/ trance stuff just to name a few random shits that i bought and already had (nick terranova, ferry corstein, plasmic honey, anythony acid, magestic 12, victor calderone, perfect phase, robbie tronco, daft punk, mr. pink, marco bailey, roger sanchez , mync project, tiesto, razor and guido, paul van dyke)

Need to pick up before the end of the week:

Some David Gueta, Bob Sinclair, Benny Benasi jonts.

Any good recommendations? Not a fan of spinning drum/ bass or jungle. Closest I get is mixing breakbeats in with house shit, or random hip hop joints, accapellas on 45.

The problem is everyone expects the CD dj shit, with the effects and tricks that come with that. I'm old school, hopefully they enjoy it. But I can't wait to pick up the cd decks for those tricks, and the ease of transition from coming to vinyl is going to make it so much more fun.

I've spent the last two weeks just getting my game up, not to mention much needed cleaning and repair of my decks and mixers ( I hate when shit doesn't act right, I'll be nervous enough after 2 years + without a serious set under my belt (I've down a few little things, including djing with a band at a packed bar, but nothing compairs to the game that is djing for a crowd) that I do not need equipment problems. I've cleaned every input output, have 2 mixers ready, and a shit load of carts for the random break.

Luckily this is going to be the right crowd for this stuff, I'll probably end up doing a 4 hour or so set by accident... haha I used to do up to and beyond 8 hours.

yeah i feel your pain, i still get it after a while i havent played too, i just did a gig a week ago ,i havent doneone in months since that one.

just be yourself do what you feel comfprtable with, keep the party Rockin and the peole movin .... that should be good , dont trip on all the effects , you can do it with the vinyl too, you just have to get a rrefresher right quic.
the TTM56 mixer is great with the effects. i've seen they use a lot of pioneer effects in the clubs,prettysimple it makes it like using the studio
