this is something you'd benefit from, no question.
say you have a song loaded that uses 137 wav files. it's a big song, you've been working on it since december, and there is a lot going on.
now say you load a folder of 16 samples, NOT already in a pgm
this means you have to make a pgm, correct? correct.
so, make the program. what do you do normally? go into OPE, start at A01, and start spinning, spinning, spinning the dial?
no. not today.
enter GPE, go to the SAMPLE column, hit the WHOLE button, select A01-A16, and turn all the samples to the first of the last 16 samples in your list.
next, go back to the whole, and now set it to A02-A16
back to sample - nudge them all 1 over.
back to WHOLE, set to A03-A16
back to sample, nudge them all 1 over. you get into the groove of it, and it saves your data wheel from spinning, spinning spinning. saves you time and sanity, too.
you're still in a sense assigning them 1 at a time, but as you go, you're pushing/dragging the rest of the pads with you, so you don't have to go through all 137 samples on memory EVERY TIME just to get to the pertinent ones.
