MPC2000XL stopping all sounds from playing?

on my friends 2500 i just hit SHIFT+STOP and it'll stop all long samples from playing after i stop my sequence.

on the 2000xl this doesn't work, so i just go to the trim screen to mute all sounds, so is there an easier shortcut like the 2500?

i meant to say, when i stop a sequence from playing, sometimes a long sample will continue to play out until it is finished.

how do i get the mpc to stop playing ALL sounds? on the 2500 you hit shift+stop, but this doesn't work on the 2000xl...is there a way to do it on the 2000xl?

if you hit stop like 3 times it might do it

I think there's a setting somewhere though to modify the stop button behavior
