Fruity Loops? If so, elaborate.

I was thinking I might be able to use my 1K as a MIDI controller for Fruity Loops and I'd like to know the possibilities.

Problem with FL is that you cant control more than 1 track at the same time, so to have different samples on the pads you have to make a layer track and set up the children to one note each. I´ve made this as a preset flp file a while ago, you can get it here: http://www.filefactory.com/file/1f77c9/

Theres still a problem that when you add a sample the root note will be reset to c3 or whatever, you have to manually adjust that when.

Another option would be the fpc plugin of course, but you dont have that many options like in a track for tweaking the sample.

Using fruity loops with a 1k is like rubbing one off in front of a prostitute you just paid for. Sure its probably fun, but what the hell's the point.

That's an ill way of putting it.

Just recently, the DATA WHEEL on my 1K started screwin' up, as well as the pads, to the point where I can barely use the machine. So, until I get it repaired, if possible that is, I will be using FL.

The thought of using them together crossed my mind and I was just curious to know if anyone has ever done that.

Thanks for the input.

i use to use my mpc with fl in the beggining but its so pointless.

a: both machines can do the samthing
b:fl has sync issues even on the most uber box
c:fpc is limited and cant compare to a fl sampler perioid

reasons why u wanna just turn off fl and do mpc only
a: it has no sync issues
b:it does all that fl can do..it really can jsut use imagination and learn to sound craft
c: U JUST PAID ALL THAT MONEY TO WORK IT SIDE BY SIDE WITH FL? WTF ARE U THINKING unless ur me and wanted to cut some slack of the processor on ur comp i can understand but ull soon see its not worth it.. get ur mpc repaired and do ur mpc like its a dirty lil whore
