Just bought an MPC 3000 ... have a question

How do I confirm how much RAM is installed ... also ... is there a list of CD ROMS drives that work with an MPC 3000? I have a couple of old MAc external drives that I know used to work with my s6000 etc ...

First here is how to check the RAM size present:

Note also that if your MPC3000 is installed with the Vailixi 3.50 OS then the RAM size is displayed during the boot phase.






Second:

* Pioneer DR-U12x Speed (let's say all Pioneer models do)
* Panasonic 2x all models
* SONY 2x/4x all models
* Hitachi 4x
* Toshiba 4x XM-5401 TA
* Toshiba 3401 SCSI
* Toshiba XM5701 12x
* MAC external 2x CD drive (Panasonic/Matsushita)
* Plextor 12x, 20x and 32x
* Apple CD-300E
* Apple CD-600E
* Apple CD1200 (8x Internal)
* Panasonic LK-MC606BP (Matsushita 508)

In addition to this short list, many of the SCSI CD BURNERS also seem to work ok as readers when connected with the MPC3000.

DO U KNOW IF THE APPLE 600E DRIVE REALLY WORKS WITH THE MPC3000.I DON'T MEEN TO SOUND RUDE, BUT HAS IT BEEN TESTED.BECAUSE I SEEN ONE ON EBAY AND IF IT WORKS THROUGH AND THROUGH, I WILL BUY IT.MAN I WOULD REALLY LOVE TO HAVE A CD ROM DRIVE FOR MY SOUNDS RATHER THAN A ZIP OR A FLOPPY.
