A couple of questions about software...

cool. keep us updated on how the MPD24 turns out for ya. I'm interested in getting one myself.

Yesterday exchanged padkontrol for the mpd24. couldn't stand the pad feel on the KPk. although it got nice features other pad controllers dont. the feel is certainly not one of them...

All I gotta say is the mpd feels solid and the build quality is off the hook in comparison to korg pad kontrol or the trigger finger. pads feel good, it still isn't mpc, but close. (I'm thinking bout swaping pads with stock 2500's to add more bounce, if I keep this unit).

setting it up was pain the the ass, windows didnt recoqnize it at first. got stuck halfway thru updating firmware on this thing.
fired up emac and was able to do the update on, then finally I was able to mess around in battery.

this as far as I got with it, cuz I caught a virus . it only took about 7 hours to zero fill first drive.

good thing I didng get rid of my mpc yet!

not for me - even though the presets in the mpd doesn't seem to help much - the only thing the knobs control for me is panning and volume...

dunno why it happened whether it's my pc config or there is faulty batch of mpds floating around. but I did google it and there is people who ran into exact same problem.
