How do you know if its teh same? Id be willing to give it a shot if your still interested. And yes to dude asking about the jog wheels the 3 peeps i know with 1000s all have some problems mine became untennable and is now affectionately hated and discarded. It is an unsellable junk piece. Did antonym make any money of this pad fix? Or rather did anyone go out on a limb and buy it? I was hanging for it but the jogwheel made me need an emergency replacement.

Ive had my mpc 1000 since it first came out and my pads and data wheel are fine some buttons trip out a little but ive had no problems.I dont know what the **** cats be doing to there mpc's BANGING THROWIN WHATEVER i treat mine with respect.

The DATA WHEEL is quite weak as well and gave out on me before my pads did. -I've had my 1k for like 2-3 yrs now. it was the floor model at guitar center. the 2nd column of pads gets progressively more dull from top to bottom, and those are the only "dead pads"- down the row like that. I replaced the bottom pad and my rec button from mpcstuff.com. My top slider is broke too, my jog wheel is kind of "delicate", the timing is alittle weird, and the blue is ugly as hell... I painted my sides dark grey with some krylon Fusion(or sumthing like that... krylon for plastics.) it worked good, looks like factory paint job. All quirks aside I still love my 1000, I just adjust and compensate for the jankyness.no big deal

all u can do as a customer and want to see support is by emailing akai with info of ur problems..in any dev team ur apart of wheter u be a tester or owner of one of there products. u must report any problems u have with ur mpc to akai pro.. the only reason why theres even gonna be a fix to the pads and only the pads is because people reported it to akai.. not because people were crying in a forum that isnt tied to akai itself..report ur problems to akai and u will get a fix.. akai dont have much of a rep cause all talk is coming from underground and not bein deliverd like it should to the hq. they dont pay employees to read these forums if they did then we would see alot more fixes than the puny updates they gave us..im still waiting to see akai fix the sequencer in my mpc1000..shift and digit move is broken and edit move is broken.ive summited my bugs in and u should to..same way u contact jj do the same for akai pro..

the guy i talked to whos confirmed most of my bugs is this guy i think by the name of justin baro at akai..i forget what his name was but last bug report i made was 3 month ago.
