Trouble Tracking Out

Whats up guys? Ive read the forum, and i still have come to know answer yet. I just purchased my mpc 1000 a couple days ago. And i have a couple things i want to show people. But im having trouble tracking out. I read the cheapest way of doing this, is a simple rca cable, with some phono ends and a couple adaptors... But im still having trouble. Im using audacity on an Imac to try and get it out. But i always have logic. ( if that would do the trick).. I took a couple pictures, to help you guys maybe help me.

rca cables.. hmm i think wrong cables just get regular balanced stereo ones

Man, thats what an rca cable is, isnt it?
If someone can just throw it out there, and tell me exactly what i need, and show me, that would be great

no rca cable is diffrent rca is for home stereo. go to your local guitar shop or radio shack and ask for an stereo balanced instrument cable then get 1/4 to 1/8 inch converters.http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Hosa-TRSTRS-Stereo-14-Cable-?sku=333001

i do this with my 500.

two stereo 8th to 8th cables with quarter inch adaptors on the mpc side then i have a two to one headphone splitter, and i just plug each end of the rca stereo cable into the spllitter then i plug the splitter into my headphone jack on my laptop, then the 1/4 inch sides into my mpc.
