s950, would you dump to 3000 or midi?

I know some people like having it all done in ONE box. Like i you had a 950 with a 3000 would you just sample and chop up drums in the 950 and control it with a 3000 or any mpc for that matter or would you sample and re-sample(dump) into the 3000 and do everything from there. I wonder how much punch you lose once dumped else where.

midi is a very good friend that really deserves some quality time with you...

Just wondering, but i guess makes sence. keep drums in s950 chop and everything in the 950 keeping the dirt on them drums.

if u want "all in one" why use the 950 at all?



if you want to use more than an "all in one" unit, learning to implement midi is essential...

I know i was more curious how most do it. For example my friend loves the asr-10 and been using it since it came out. He has a motif rack and a few soft synths. He hates dealing with midi, so he samples notes/octaves into the asr-10 use sounds on his music. Heck i even seen the guy make a complete song on a mpc and then sample the sequences in the asr-10 just to had that asr-10 warm coat of sound then dump to DP4 and arrange the sequences to a song. Me i think i will use midi.
