Has anyone tried to use the latching footswitch FS-5L from BOSS with MPC1000 ?.
It's a different type of switch than the mopmentary FS-5U.
I think it solves the problem for one shot loop samples where you have to hold the pad for loop.
So with this footswitch that has on/off mode you just press it "on" and it's like holding a pad. Press it "off" and its like releasing the pad.

Can someone that has this footswitch please try it and tell us if it works.
Assign for example pad 1 to the footswitch make it "note on" and "loop". Step on your FS-5L and tell us what happens please!
And how it works when tha sample is one shot. You have to step twice on the switch to play it again?
IT seems a lot of people has the same question.
Please enlighten us:)

Thank you!

I finally bought the fs-5l today.
Guess what. It works!

For "note on" mode and "loop on" you just step on it once and it holds
the loop like when you hold the pad pressed. Step again on the switch and the loop stops.

It works too for "one shot". You step on the switch once and the sample plays. But you have to step on it twice again to repeat the sample. It has to go to off mode first and then on again.
But it's great for long samples it works like the fs-5u.

Problem solved.

I got lonely here.
i'm posting and replying to myself!:)
I guess there is not many people using the footswitch but it's a luxury in live performancies if you want to control samples manually than playing sequences.

Anyone else out there:)??

Cool. seems like it would be handy for playing a sample loop live, but I have no use for it in the studio.
