has any one created real drum rolls and flams using the mpc? if so how yall drop tht?

two pads with slightly different snares (same sample, just tuned, filtered and with different velocity responses).

Bang away without quantization until it fits.

There, that should get you some nice rolls. To make it sound even more natural go into step edit and move some of the hits a tick or two in either direction.

to give your drums a better dynamics, when doing a roll, make sure (depending on how you programmed your hats) make sure that a high hat isnt sitting in the roll. its gonna take two hands for a drummer to do a drum roll and a third to hit a high hat while doing the drum roll haha. often overlooked, very minor detail but if you think about it, it makes a big difference.
