I've been saying this for a while, but I made a .gif

I wanted Shift + the arrows and/or the BAR keys to act like HOME and END keys on a PC keyboard

Image

hopefully it's possible, I'm about to submit the .gif to JJ

Shift + pad to directly select the active track instead of scrolling through them sequentially.

Yeah. I really want to make this happen. I mailed them about it directly but I'm not sure if they understand enough English to get it.

being able to use NUMERIC and enter a track number would be good too

I got this reply:

Your request was told to the programmer.

So I guess JJ at least knows about it.

An OS Builder on JJ's Site would be dope, creating an individual designed OS for you ad compiled automatically:

SELECT FROM THE FOLLOWING FEATURES:

- PONG or SCREENSHOT
- OLD SCREEN or NEW SCREEN
- OPE: YES | NO
- OLD TRIM MODE LOOK or NEW

>> everybody would be satisfied (almost) ;)

i'm curious what email address you (and others) are using to send requests to JJ?

are you using the email address that was used to send you your password when you registered the OS, or is there a different one?

i sent a request a couple months back and never got a response. i know that JJ probably doesn't respond to 99% of the requests, but i would like to be sure that my emails are not just dissapearing into a black hole.

Level option instead of Velocity, or the option to change via a window key for chaning Track Levels.

I think it would be good to have adjustable Count in. 2 bars, 4 bars. And maybe also a click/metronome rate of 1/2. For Double Tempo recording with a regular tempo feel. Not sure how much code it would take up, but JJ freed up some like 2 OS releases ago so we got a couple kbs to spare.

oma t wrote:i would like the sample list to begin at the last sample used when assigning a sample to another pad for instance after assigning pad A1 to Kik drum (which is lets say the 20th sample in the memory) when pressing B1 then turning the data wheel the mpc starts from the beginning of the sample list when it would be easier to start from the last sample assigned. This would help when manually assigning a new batch of samples. This is the way that an S5000 works and is alot easier than scrolling from the start, even with using the shift key to go up in 10's. Just an idea!!!!

I´ve been thinking the same thing. It´d be a lot faster to create new programs!

I want grid and step edit while the sequencer is running.
I don't really need a running cursor when the MPC is playing,
a moving cursor while playing could be optional (like hitting
shift while in grid edit & running sequencer sets the cursor to
the location the sequencer is currently at)

Another idea:

One could add the following grid edit mechanism:
----------------------------------------------------------
when in grid edit while holding (for example) TAP-tempo hitting a pad
adds a note relative to the current cursor position.
so while in 16th-note grid hitting pad 16 will add a 16th-length note
16 steps from where the cursor is currently located with
the note velocity pad16 is hit. Hitting a note where there already exists one
will delete the existing note.

So letting go of TAP-tempo you select the row, holding
TAP-tempo you insert notes. This would speed up grid editing
tremendously.

A combination of idea 1 and 2 would elevate the MPC in TR-like realtime programming heaven!

Another idea:

Fast deleting notes with running sequencer:
--------------------------------------------------
holding erase and hitting shift deletes all notes of the current track while the seqencer is running at the current sequencers location.
--------------------------------------------------
holding erase and hitting TAP-tempo deletes all notes of the whole track that is currently selected.
