Hi,

This is my first post on this awesome forum, so please be gentle.

Not too sure if it's been mentioned yet but the Micron 256MB SDRAM SODIMM MT8LSDT3264HG-133 (144 Pin) I removed from a Dell Latitiude C400 is working a treat in my 1K. So far so good.

Cheers!

i ask myself a question about RAM cheap and I cant seem to find a clear answer : if you use a 512 Mb cheap , will it work ok but only at 128 mb or will it not work at all ?

Thx.

I just bought a Kingston Value RAM SDRAM 256MB PC133 144Pins SODIM earlier, and it works great. No problems at all!

Hi,

Im in australia, and am trying to find some RAM that works... i know this has been asked hundreds of times for various different websites, but would someone be able to confirm that this will work?

http://www.arc.com.au/?MEMSOSD2

most of the specs are there but i just wanted to be 100% sure before ordering

thanks!

i've been looking through the mpc1k ram thread to try and solve this problem, but here it is anyways.. at the begining of the thread it says get ram that is " PC 133 144PIN CL3 SODIMM 256MB."

this is what i have -

kingston 256MB PC133 144pin SoDimm RAM.. on the ram itself it has the cl3 thing..

is there any reason that the ram i bought shouldn't be working?

sorry about the relatively dumb question, but i figured i'd post it anyways.

i keep getting the memory error message .. the 8c000000000000 one.

haha **** sucks

I just bought a cf card for 15$ from sam club. i work good it 1gb so i thought i was a good price and it works fine.

Any problems with certain CF cards? Personally Ive had 2 failures. 1 was a DanElec and PNY both 1gb. Are these bad cards? or just bad luck? Who makes the best cards? Its really frustrating when you lose everything or your suddenly not able to save. I would LOVE to avoid this.

so i have 128 mb of ram and a 128 mb Flash Card along with the one that the mpc comes with (sound library) but it says that memory is full sometimes and i think i am not alone when i say the its BS to not be able to save a beat so ... which one is the best. Quality Size and price wise. i am sure someone has said it but damn this topic is hella long LOL

thanks in advanced

I just got this exact piece.. Installed it into my 500 and in doing so broke both sides of the clip that holds it in place..

It happened real easy.. I didn't use much pressure at all..

Akai tells me this isn't covered in the year waranty I have.. Anyone else run into this problem and have to get it fixed ? I was wondering what the pocket damage may be...

In other words: Be careful if you're installing one of these.. that plastic is very brittle..

does it matter if the ram is low profile or not?

By jbl Wed Oct 10, 2007 8:56 am
i just barely snapped one a those, for me it was a close call(i just lubed it  ). anyway i just kept the clip in place with plastic part being supported. it works fine. why not use a dab a super glue, i mean if u do haffa ta get it fixed that part will be replaced anyway.
