Hello,
Today i have buy a cd-rom for my MPC 2000, i have linked it and i try to read cd .wav.
I can't, it read only Aky cd, so i would to know how can i burn my .wav in akay format to be read by my MPC 2000.
Exist a way to read directly .wav? With the floppy i can read .wav why not with the cd-rom?
Thanx!!

I think he has an MPC2000 not the XL. If I'm correct and I'm sure I am the CD for an MPC2000 won't read wav files. If it does I would sure like to know, so far I have burned about 5 CD's (testing) trying to figure out how to get it to read CDs that I burned myself.

Yes i have an MPC 2000 not XL.
So Phatz, do you know where i can find the information about this?
I have search but i didn't find it.
Do you think that there is a particular format to burn and to be read from mpc 2000?
Thanks

The 2000 doesn't seem to like PC formatted CDR - I don't know of anyone on these forums who has successfully created a PC formatted CD that works in the 2000. Do a search in Google for 'disk2file' - with this you can create an Akai format disc image.

Good looking Tutor finally I get a straight answer. I think MPC3000 told me that along time ago but, I forgot. Thanks though.
