Here's my problem...

Some dude sold me a cdrom for my mpc2000, with the promise that I would be able to burn my own wav files and be able to load pgm's, and such. It wont load my discs @ all. I tried an AKAI format, and it loads perfectly.

How can I burn my own wav's into an akai disc? I cant understand the instructions for Disk2File. It sounds like It's just making a copy of an already prepared AKAI rom.

Is there someway possible that I can load my own wavs via a cd into my MPC2000?

I was wonder'n the same thing. I read somewhere that you have to have a SCSI port on your computer. Something about burning an ISO image to CD from the HD hooked to the comps SCSI.

I don't have one on my comp. I was wonder'n if it's at all possible to download (or if it could be mailed) an ISO image. I'm clueless about the subject. :?

For the MPC2000 just burn a regular data CD in ISO9660 format from your computer (look at the instructions for your writing software for this setting). Don't use folders. Using short filenames helps too else 9660 will truncate it for you.

Yeah, I've tried that and for some reason it just wont load. It just shows "?????" under type.

Alot of people have told me that burning the wavs to the disc should load, but I cant seem to get mine to do it. It does however load up AKAI discs fine.
