Unwanted automatic Program chagnes

I have tried the searches by can't find anything on this topic although i feel its there somewhere.

I have created a new program file called GM XP80 with the correct GM setup to enable me to play gm drum tracks from midi files directly but just loading them in the 1K.

This is working great actually but there are some files that switch automatically to one of the undesired default program files like CDS when i press play start.

I would like to know what i have to change in the settings to stop this from occurring.

I'm also using the 1k in a live band with just keyboards and bass so that has to be my live drummer in a sense. I don't just want it to play loops as i did before with the 2K xl

to address your Programme change issues, have you tried to go in STEP EDIT mode on the tracks you have loaded in the mpc so you can se if there is a PC event in there at the beginning of the track?

Thats exactly the solution I needed.
