Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

I never had it looked at because after I read what savilion posted I tried cooling it off and that seemed to do the trick. It still happens, but when it does I stick it in front of the air conditioner for a few minutes and the problem is solved.

It's got to be some sort of heat problem with mine though cause it doesn't happen much in the winter. Mostly in the summer when the air conditoner is off.

The circuitry of the MPC can take more heat than your body so i would think the heat would get you first. :wink:

People really need to complain to Akai.
They new what they did with the 1k pad design and I'm pretty sure they new about that shallow metal for mounting and alignment offset.
They could have at least done like on the 4k put 4 screws around the pad section to hold it in place.
That was an idea taken from the MPC60II, since it's face plate was metal and the case was ABS, they used 4 scews to hold the entire face plate in proper position.
