You got more sampling time, more effects and filters, big screen to!. Better in combi with pc (USB). S5000 has 128 parts, though I dont know how to use them.. My S5000 only has 2 physical MIDI ins, 16 channels each, makes 32 channels/ parts.
I paid 450 euros for mine.

I am going to be adding a "S" series sampler of some sort hopefully a s5000 to my MPC 60 also .I have downloaded a manual for a few diffrent model akai rack samplers just trying to decide which one will work for my application and budget.For the record I have seen a few s3000's on ebay for $400-$500 and s5000's for like $500-$700.They both are great machines but the s5000 has that big screen which is really nice.I wonder how come akai did not put that same style screen on the Z series samplers?
