MPC1000 Help "How do you save A Song and upload on PC"

How do you save a song and upload it to the pc, it only allows me to save a sequence im confused please somone help me muchly apriciated

SEARCH and ye shall find. Have you typed this in the search engine yet? I ain't tryin to be funny, but thatz a good place to start this question has been asked and answered a "tank load" of times on this site. I actually saw it asked earlier this week. In alot of areas this website is like having a open book test. If that don't work, u might want to cosider getting the ebook from mpc-tutor, I copped that joint it's got me learning this mp1k 4 real. Besides having the MP itself the tutor book is among the top three investments when going with the Mp. (1Mp, 2Tutor book, 3Soundz). I just got my MPC couple of weeks ago and I am going thru the tutor book chapter by chapter and doin what I am reading, like I am in class, except this joint is handz on. Sometimes I got to repeat a chapter and keep redoing the tutorials on my MP 2 get it, but eventually I get it and it sticks. Things that you learn by somebody tellin u may stick for a little while, but things u learn by experience stick 4 life. I know u ain't ask 4 all that, but thatz my 5 fish and 2 loaves. cause i was making some hot beats but i cant save it or nuttin i wanna put on computer so i can start recording my albums i learned alot from alot of people alrdy n it helps alot asking people n the more information u gather the better u become so please if it isnt much can you tell me how to save cause i can load stuff from the usb cord but i cant seem to save a song as a wav file or watever to get it, on my pc i juss need to know how to do that n im in business please is all i ask someone!

What is your set up? What kind of soundcard do you have and what software program are you recording into on your pc? Do you have cables to plug into the MPC stereo out jacks? Let me know what you workin with so I can determine if itz sumthin I can help you wit? Also, do you have midi cables?

welp i got 2 ways i can setup , maily i juss use my dj mixer thingy, but i got that firewire shit also but i dont use it cause i didnt think i needed to
basically im juss lost i think i got all the cables tho for the firewire n stuff im basically just loss tho i dunno how to hook up to the pc am i supose to use the firewire or what?

like when i connect the usb cable to my computer from the mpc, i can take the files from the mpc n put on my pc, n if there is a way to convert the saved song as a wav file or something i can take it easly problem is i dunno how to save finished work as 1 whole file to make it a wav or mp3 or something juss so i can put on pc --like all the sound samples are mostly wav when i checked it out and if i can make a full song n convert the whole full song to a wav file or other then its set i need help badly

You cannot save to Wav file in the MPC. In order to save your whole song u need to make sure the song u want to save is loaded and all the samples and program files are loaded with it. Next go to save mode and scroll to "SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY" and save it. Thatz how you save a entire song. Make sure u know where you are saving the song, it would probably be smart to make a whole new folder to save it in. When u save entire memory you are saving it as a Project file which means it contains your sequence, samples, programs, and everything associated with that song. It uses more harddrive or CF storage to save this way, but you have everything together in one area so it is easier to load the next time.

In regard to getting the song to PC u need to do what is normally called dumping the track. As i mentioned before the MPC does not save to wav, u have to record your tracks into you software (DAW of choice, Cubase, ProTool, Samplitude etc...) U need 1/4 cables to plug into the stereo outs of the MPC and then the appropriate size on the other end to plug into your soundcard inputs.

What MPC do u have anyway? If u got an MPC 2500 with cd-r this might change thangs a lil in regard to getting the song to cd.

i have been getting very good with sampling n beats n stuff just didnt know how to save anything

while lurking these forums i read that some guys use the 'resample' function on the mpc and record the whole sequence as a sample, then drag the sample file onto your comp with the usb cable.

wow if you can i guess copy n post it here that will help i didnt get the cords yet but that sampling thing by draging the sample file is pretty good if you know anything about it can you tell me?? cause i know how to save the sequence and all that but how would you get it to save with all the mins as 1 whole sample if ya can find out for me that will be great man cause ive been wasting alot of cash lately but if this really does work could save me a few dollars if it doesnt i guess imma have to get those cords
