3k and propellerhead reason/recycle.

first question-Reason- i am trying to use my 3000 like i use my midi keyboard(just to trigger the sounds inside reason)i read the manual under the midi section and i still can't get it to work.if any of you know about reason and the 3000 please fill me in.(really frustrated right now)

second question Recycle- inside propellerhead recycle(sample chopper) i am chopping samples fine and everything,the problem is how to get those samples inside my 3000. the files in recycle get saved as a .rex file.is there a way to convert those files so that it's compatible with akai?

You need to convert your Rex files to Wav. files when you export and then go to MPC3000.com and download the Wav2SND program.

I've used my 3k w/Reason 3.0, and it worked flawlessly. Besides setting the CHN: field to the corresponding MIDI track and setting the TYPE: to DRUM, I don't think I had to do anything else, and I used it w/NNXT, and REDRUM. Bad cable, or maybe wrong in/out?

Instead of 'saving', 'export' your file(you can click on the 'disk' icon) and choose WAV or AIFF and then convert. What I, and many other users here is do is export to .akp, and then load that file into MPCeditor V2. MPCeditor not only converts to SND, but it takes all ur slices(up to 64) and lays them across a little MPC interface. Your gonna have to convert files made in recycle one way or another.
