metronome question

Is there a way to change the metronome tempo without changing the sequence tempo or change the metronome speed on mpc 2000?

Why would you need this feature ? That's the purpose of metronome, to guide you a little while playing notes into a sequence, in the same tempo indeed : )

If you just want the metronome to count faster or have more ticks,go to the count option on the main screen and hit open window and switch it from 1/4 to 1/8 & ect.
