JJ is soo dope! Right when I heard P.Mode was gone, I though to myself "man, bein' able to do tap tempo on the pads was kinda tight, but oh well." Then J goes and adds it to another part of the OS! YESSSSSS!!! He never gets rid of the good stuff! Go JJ!!!!!!

because i never need to know what tempo something is. i chop it up and determine what tempo it SHOULD be in after i tune/stretch/alternate loop each note to what it should be, not what the original sample demands.

word. Rarely do I keep the tempo of the original track, but I hear the beat already in my head and then I tap it out while I hum it.

i follow those same guidelines, but i still use TAP TEMPO to set my bpm BEFORE i actually start sequencing. pretty much exactly what hereo was saying...

hmm, well, to each their own i guess....
