Got my 3000, screen sucks, got screwed.

oh well something told me to avoid the seller. No power cord and the screen is like god-awful worse than my s950. wow. Just sent a email to forat, maybe a replacement LCD or Backlight. so sad, I wanted to use it today.

Forat is a rip off for the backlight jsut do it yourself for $40 from www.telesisgear.com

i would but iam scared because its a tilt screen. is it hard. the mpc is a solid 8 out of 10 cosmetically and all seem to work fine. only the screen sucks. do you have a pic to show me how a 100% funtional screen should look? and whats the diff between lcd and backlight?

My mpc3k also did not come with a power cord. Glad to hear that the majority of the unit gets an 8 out of 10. Did u try fully pressing in the display contrast nob so that it clicks?

yeah. the backlight is too dim, to the point i want to like just turn it off/ all the characters are good so must be backlight. iam going to order a white one and see if i can install.

i changed my backlight myself. its not that hard, if you have the instructions and can solder a little bit.

just take your time.
