Albums/songs that feature the MPC 60??

I was wondering if anyone crafted a master list (or knows where one exists) of what albums/songs/beats were done exlusively on the mpc60. besides just saying dj premier or something... heh

was there any "cheating" going on with that shadow album?? like using 2 mpc60's? or saving on other mediums, then piecing back together?? or straight up just one mpc.... just curiousity.. heh

I would think he had to record parts of the track then load up more sounds and sync up those recordings. He used to make tracks wit just records and a 4 track b4 the mpc days. Who knows tho, he might just be real clever on that thing.

Premier uses MPC60 Midi'ed up to S950 so in theory it's the 950 your hearing...

How do people not know that he midi's it. You can't get that grimey lo-fi sound from jsut the 60 it's the S950 combined to give it that sound.

exactly people.

s900-950's are able to change sample rates.

its a great interview, not because he talks about gear, because he doesn't, but because he talks about how his ear and experience and overall love for a wide range of music give him an edge. he says some stuff that should be mandatory for any aspiring producer
