Most of the time I quantize. Sometimes I don't. Sensewondah is right. That robotic feel ppls get is most likely them not having the skillz to get what you want outta your production. Experimentation is key.
On "The Hawk 2" EVERYTHING is quantized. I only used 1/16 and 1/16(3) for the whole song and every track.
