How to specify POLY or MONO

Ok, so I'm in the process of moving from FL Studio to the MPC 2000 XL. I've read the manual and picking up tips online, but one thing I'm stuck on is how to specify if I want the sample on MONO or POLY. Can anyone help?

i run a 1k dunno if its the same, but in program menu,Params option is in there. if that dont help sorry but ive never used a 2k

im on the xl..... shift/pgm....pick ur drum pgm...hit the pad that has the sound loaded...hit params....bottom right should be what ur lookin for. im at work but i think thats how it goes
