Not that this is gonna be much help but finding your own shit is like a personal experience man.... start at the library on cd's... funct i know but thas where i started.. u can get hold of plently of sounds to go thru at little cost, find out what u feelin an go from there... u gotta feel the music firstly... its coo man, like a lil education into the past.. anything 70's has got my interest, never really found anything pre 70's but thas the thing, there will def be suttin out there.. sall about finding it.

Check out a few artists with a lil suttin to smoke til you find ish u like and gets to sampling the lil bits u feelin, find out what label they run with, when diggin remember the label, often similar artist will be on the same label, you only usually come across the popular artist but sometimes u find the unknown artists.. snap em up... to be honest tho man u jus gotta find an instinct, even lookin at the covers i can tell sometimes if ish is gonna be good.. sometimes it still turns out fruitless but you'll get a feel... i see it been sometem since u orig posted so hopefully u on your way now man.

Peaceeee

Check out some Gunther Fischer stuff if you can find it. He's a German jazz musician and he's done some funky stuff. He was on the Amiga label (East German) I actually know him and hes a cool guy, thats how I came upon his music.
