Ok, I appogize if this is a common post but, I've searched previous posts and came up with nothing ...so here it goes......

I noticed a problem when playing back a sequence on my MPC1000. The issue is that I would intermittently hear clicks and pops. Kellog's MPC Crispies?

If I triggered each sample manually there is no noise however, when playing back the sequence these annoying clicks & pops would reappear.

I also tired creating another sequence using different samples and still experienced the same issue.

holla!

Maybe something wrong with compressor settings. Try muting tracks one by one. Does it occur when one track is playing?

thanks, I'll give that a try.

Check with headphones if it's happening in the mpc or somewhere else in the signal path.

Did you install the upgraded memory? If you damaged the memory chip accidentally by exposing it to static electricity you hear snaps, crackles and pops in your outputs, maybe even cocoa pebbles too!

Hey thanks for the suggestions but, i figured it out. By default the Loop feature is set to 'ON' when loading new samples. Turn off the loop for each sample and problem resolved!

Even though I tap out a beat manually with these same samples without clicks, it's not until I play a sequence that the clicks and pops occur.....ok, so now I'm happy with the MPC1000....whew!
