3.10 OS or memory expansion for my 60II?????

In response to your original question. Go with the memory expansion, that extra sampling time is really useful and it sounds like your OS is pretty similar to 3.10. Just don't do the hack, buy a legit expansion board.

There is one real benefit to getting 3.10e and thats the fact that you aren't restricted to a sample bank. If you wanna make a 13 second sample, you can go ahead and do so, which can be useful at times. If you decide to go with the mem expansion, please get the legit board and DO NOT do the hack job. Even tho its a cheap fix, theres a reason for that.

also since the back of the MPC displays the manufacturers info all in japanese characters.

do you know of any other differences between 3.01 vs 3.10 OS?

if you have a japan model then he would be using a ac voltage converter. otherwise its a us version. wish my screen loked like yours. i was sold a mpc 3k with a dim screen. iam like mad. 1200 bones worth.

A screen cost like $40 from telesisgear why are you complaining about your screen so much just fix it? $1200 is decent price for one you can't even find one for $1100 in Cali w/o it having something wrong with it.

yea, the screen doesnt cost much and it is rather east to replace yourself.

1# I did call telegear and spoke to a older man with a temper and attitude, he got mad because I explained the situation and asked him
what backlight would he recommend for my mpc 3000? He answered he only recommends one, I asked will it look like it looked originally and he said he aint gauranteeing nothing, I asked can I see a picture of how it looks and told me no and to call him when Iam decided ( iam decided just got questions ). I called again and got him again or his wife, seems to be a mom and pop place. I called forat and wont sell me a backlight just told me to ship it. will charge 45.00 shipping each way. plus 135.oo for backlight. thats over 200 making my purchase 1400+ - I checked another site that seems to be foreign and havent gotten a response yet ( over 4 days ) --- so I do feel like i was screwed.

just call VST and speak with Nick. He is one cool dude that helped me out with my 60 backlight.
