i feel you on putting a ground post on the back of the mp,but that still doesnt take care of the amplification problem.i just went ahead and got a d.j. mixer.it was only 50$ more than i would have paid for the RIAA pre-amp.plus i can sample scratch with it and everything.so it worked out best for my situation

it wont be a problem. only thing is space. i might have to loose the footswitch controller

You could run into some interference problems but I guess if you ground everything right it should be okay.
