I was attempting to shorten my file names so I could transfer them to my computer. I shortened the names for a couple programs worth of sounds in the root directory menu page. Now when I go to load the programs the mpc is looking for the old names rather than the new shortened ones. the sounds are all still there - they just have different names now. Is there any way to attach these to the programs without having to try and guess what and where all the sounds were before? that could be a nightmare. please help if poss.

You should have saved them again on your disk drive before you attempted to do so, now you're making it look for the names when they are different now... happy guessing.

I did something similar a few years ago. It's best to edit the names inside of the program when it's loaded up in the MPC. That way it already knows what's going on. You'll just have to remember. Guarantee you, that you will get some good stuff out of the confusion though.

Peace.
