2Gb flash card

i have read in mpcstuff that 2000xl can only recognize up to 1Gb CF cards? is there any way to make it read 2Gb CF or more (if there's any)

and maybe i could also ask if there's any other online stores that i can find 2000xl peripherals/parts aside from ebay and mpcstuff...total newbie (im just curious coz i never had an mpc, and i really want to get one...why 2000xl? budget...still have to ship it if ever)

ah...so basically it will read a single 2Gb CF as two 1Gb CF's....nice

2kxl is the best well rounded mpc you can find...

has everything plus more....

but a strictly smooth 16bit sound

ive got one... i would have got a 3000 if i could have afforded it, only because physically they are more solid, and the sound is a little different, it is really clean, but i like dirty...

anyway i would have got one, now, because they arent as plastic as the xl and newer models.

but im really happpy.

word...nice input on that...btw, whats the diff between the black & blue 1000's? other than the black ones are more good looking hahha

blue ones are the first 1000s to come out and ive been warned by some shop owners about defects...


theres a serious glitch and they recalled a whole lot of them,
the pads cut out after a while or something and they start messing the whole machine up, like if you hit the pads with a sample on it the sample cuts out and affects the screen and the rest of the sequence u made etc.

havent experienced it for myself, but i wouldnt recommend that model...

Yes, the 2kxl has some problems with the 2GB CF card. I made the mistake and bought one and now it reads everything fine from it but when I try to save it always interrupts the saving process right in the middle saying something like invalid input whatever (can't remember the message right now, lol). I haven't tried the partition approach. Later today I will give it a try and see what comes up (it's getting really annoying working with that midget 32MB factory CF).
