anybody having problems loading via usb with the new os?

i have 4.82 on my mac right now and tried loading 4.84, however, the drive doesn't even show anymore! i have my usb cables hooked up right, and hit mount, but nothing comes up. please help! thanks, any advice would be helpful

If you have a HD it could be toast. That's why its not showing up. If you have a CF card it could be messed up too. Same thing kinda happened to me 2 weeks ago. Had to buy a new HD. Oh well, more space now!

Did you get a warning message before the HD went out? How long did the HD last before it went out?

Ive had a similar problem but never thought it could be the HD or CF until now. My problem is the flash card because I cant save anything on this card...this could be your problem....?

To make it easy, if you're using a CF card, get an external card reader/writer. If you're using a HD, get an enclosure.
Check the USB cable that you're using too. Besides that I'm not sure my man. I'm not too up on hardware type fixes and how much they cost/ are they DIY type deals.
