question about plugs (UK people should be able to help)

OK i just got my MPC2000.....but it has an american plug (i always thought the plugs were the same for UK and US).

obviously i can get an adaptor from somewhere but i was thinking it might be better to get a completely new lead that has a UK plug.


and is there any problems about voltage differences? if i use an adaptor or new lead, i don't need to worry about blowin the fuses do i? i mean i don't know if any considerations need to be taken for a possible difference in voltage supply

I bought mine from Germany and got a german lead. I just swapped it for the lead for my kettle.....
