problems transferring samples

When I try loading samples that I have made off of my computer on to my MPC 2000xl it says "wrong .wav file format" I am using ableton Live to bounce the samples down. They are 16bit file format at 44.1, I tried lowering it to 22 and it still wouldn't load. Any suggestions?

well its a 16 bit machine so i would use 16 bits ...how are u loading it through scsi??

should be saving as PCM wav
