MPC'S V MV8800

Hi everyone.
What is it that the Mpc's do so well that the MV 8800 does or does diferently?

Im about to buy an MV8800 or an MPC.

I have a viris ti and will also be buying another unit for bread and butter sounds.

Is it possible to play multisamples across a keyboard controller hooked up to the akai mpc 2500?

Don't know about the 2500, but I do know you can with the 4k.

There's about 20 threads on that very subject. If did a search you'd probably find more than that.

If you want to see for yourself check out Youtube for MPC videos and YT + Roland US for MV videos.

Be sure to download all of the Workshop Docs from MV Nation or Roland US. These short How-To PDF's will make the MV seem almost too easy to learn. They did for me anyway.

I never expected a yes or no answer just some examples possibly.
I have it now and love using it.
Just got to spend some time on it now.
I have tried joining Mv Nation and still waiting for my membership to be approved. Would love to join in the forum.
Someone was talking about hooking the mv up to pro tools which is where im getting to next.

Congrats on getting the MV. You won't regret it. Just don't get frustrated after a week and try selling it...Really take the time to learn it in and out and you'll never look back

Check the Roland site videos and the workflow couldn't be smoother. However , if user is intent on everything in the universe being based on an Akai work flow then that's their problem.

theres a good program made by native instruments that does that. i thinks its kontakt. as far as the mv-8800 vs mpc. people make music not machines there both good. it all depends on how good you are. I got my little 1000 and all I use it for is its sequencer function strictly. no sampling or playing back any samples on it I do that on my computer with various soft-synth programs like kontakt. wouldnt even need a mv-8800 I already have a computer if anything id just get a mpc 2500.
