I have an M Audio keyboard controller.

How can I properly sync my controller with my MP1K for fluid control of my sounds. I want my sound more smooth and less boxy and pad programmed?

your M-Audio controller doesn't have its own clock - there's no syncing to be done. Just plug it in

what about playing my keys, should I program each pad and manually tune. Thats all I can think of

Tune them manually? The only thing you tune is samples in your MPC. Your Keyboard keys are in Chromatic order, but the MPC pads represented by the midi controller keys aren't. So the only thing you need to do is: a) correct the order of the pads everytime you turn on the MPC and use the keyboard. b) correct the order of the pads (in Program mode) once and them save that program as a template so you dant have to correct the order eveytime, all you have to do is load the program. Or c) get the JJ OS (I highly recommend it, HIGHLY!) and it will do it for you so you don't have to load that program all the time nor correct them yourself (correcting them yourself can be time consuming. Meaning its taking time away from you making your music)
Besides that all the keys on your keyboard should play in the correct order as long as the thing that it is controlling is in the correct order. Those keyboards are designed to be plug-n-play. So you should be able to hook it up and start making music immediately. But for some reason the MPC midi notes aren't in chromatic order, it has to be corrected in order to correspond with your midi controller correctly.
To make a long story a lil longer, get the JJ OS.
