JUST GOT 2000XL!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!

HELLO i just got 2000xl used one
i think all of the pads are DEAD!
i used mpc 1000 and i just got 2000xl today
but i cannot get any sound out of pads!
i can audition sounds when im loading sounds.
but the PADs don't make any sound
i assigned samples to each pad but it don't work
can someone help?

is your master volume on?

maybe you need new sensors...

Is it hooked up to speakers or a headphone?
Can you hear the sound in the trim menu?
Did you correctly assign a sound to a pad in the pgm menu?
Are you using the right bank?

I just got the XL and had the same problem. I fixed it by changing the midi to drum1 underneath where it has TR:XX-Track-XX. Look at the second box below on the main screen.

It should look something like this...

Tr:01-Track-01
S: DRUM1: OFF

Not like this...

Tr:01-Track-01
S: MIDI : OFF

thanks guys i fixed the problem!
i opened it up and one ribbon cable was not connected fully
so i put it in and now its all good
