What to buy AKAI MPC 2000xl MCD or 2500

Hi people i have some money and i want to know what mpc are the best MPC 2000XlmCD or 2500, i heard that mpc 2500 has bad display than 2000xlmcd, and what display is the best white or Green?? please answer to my question cause i will buy it(2000 or 2500) to the nex week!

Hellow WUDJ, I'm your logic. First let me say WELCOME to the forums. Second, my logic wants to relay to your logic and tell it that the 2500 is the better choice of the two, don't you think so?

ya ****** just worry about features, minus well use a PC for beatmaking. get a 3000 and call it a day.

Reasoning:


1 - PC's can do what a 1000, 2000, 2500, 4000 can do. provide features.


2 - PC's cant do what a mpc60 or 3000 can do.....sound like it.

Doesn't everyone look @ features. The features of a product determine if you will get it or not. They give you an idea of how the product will work in your setup.
Though it is an attribute, the "sound" that you are talking about is a feature of the 60 and 3000. PCs can mimick that sounds (and pretty darn good too).
A PC is a great tool to use to make music, but I enjoy the workflow of a MPC with the JJ OS. So that's what I use. That's what works for me. And I assume the workflow of a 60 or 3000 works for you.
But not everybody wants that "sound". And when you dis people that use the JJ like you did, you sound more jealous than anything else (more jealous than helpful). Please keep that in mind. So if he wants either sound, he can get it with a PC, but he wants a MPC, not a computer. And with a 2500/1000 he can use a Hard drive for storage and not have to worry about trying to find zip disks and floppies. Newer technology makes a world of difference. Even the 2000XL that he was talking about can handle CF cards, so that's easier too.

This is the right thing to do! The JJ software is far more stable than the original mpc software (Not that the original software is pure crap or anything!). Putting JJ in your machine is just like putting a new motor in a car!!

The 60 & 3k are eligible for AARP and other senior discounts. Even though both are still gett'n it on, it's just that they are'nt as adaptable as the newer models. I'd love to own a 3k but it's just not in my plans to do so at the moment. Maybe an S3k sampler since I already have the 4k.

Listen bro, the 2500 can do everything the 2000xl MCD can do plus more. It has the capacity for more RAM.. all things being equal price wise, go with the 2500. I wrote a 1300 word essay on this topic and posted it here on the forums: http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?t=83946
