im thinkin about going with one of these. what are the standard specs as far as mhz go, im lookin at one with 1.7. how will this do?

I've got a dual 1 gig G4 and the sh!t is f#ckin' blazin' . But I'm using Digital Performer , not ProTools . I guess it depends on your app.s .
